Low High Album Design 2017 _______ Brazilian punk band Low High sought imaginative, divergent packaging for their sophomore album "Act Normal." The compositions on the cover and inside booklet reflect themes discussed on the album including heartbreak, impatience, displacement and self-discovery. I wanted each collage to feel unsettling and unusual. My own handwriting is used all through the packaging to help humanize the design and soften its eccentricity.

Sleeping Babys Album Design 2018 _______ Sleeping Babys’ latest single “Nostalgic” tells the story of two friends who continually romanticize the past because of their inability to acclimate to modern society. The artwork started out as an exploration in surrealism mixed with collage and needed to be as grandiose as the 18th century Queen used on the cover. I thought Marie Antoinette’s out of touch reputation was the perfect way to rationalize the song's lyrics with the band’s whimsical style, trading roses for cotton candy and French panniers for a medusa piercing.

I explore different options to include the elements in the image and start with a dodge truck line draw, so it could have the musical instruments and the lack of wheel. To highlight the wheel I use the sunset to make the viewer eye go after it. California is known as a warm place, reflected on the coloring.

Buildings representing several towns the protagonist visited needed to be included, and they had to be correct for c.1500. Note: this was an initial run-through of the map. A later iteration had details added to Ireland, and some design tweaks.

I had awesome project with Artists Circle Fine Art from North Potomac, designing art deco illustrations depicting modes of transportation that will eventually be given to a cast concrete fabricator to make into exterior bas relief concrete panel for a plaza. This one features the plane that has a subtle feeling of motion, with a clean lined luxorious frame. Even though the design is detailed, it is clean an geometric, simple so it can be easily produced into the bas relief panel.
